Paragliding in Himachal will give you goosebumps because in India, Himachal is known for one of the best paragliding experiences. Paragliding is a kind of sport in which you can completely fulfill your passion for adventure or in other sense it’s a way to live your dream. The name paragliding clearly indicates gliding through the winds, that means through the sport you’ll have your own wings to fly and feel the winds and have an amazing bird eye view from the height which you always wanted to conquer.
Why you should do : According to me everyone should go for it atleast once in their lifetime. But if you don’t have guts then let it be. Still if you get any chance to do the sport, never miss it out because believe me that’s a golden chance. I have known many people 99% of whom face difficulty to collect the guts to be like a bird and fly at a certain height because of their fear from the heights.
One thing that I surely want to share with you is that paragliding is not that Herculean task, it looks like tough and perplexing, but it’s really not. You just need some courage to step aside and challenge yourself out of your niche.
You will feel a little butterfly in your stomach only at the time of take-off and when you are in the air the feeling of being a bird will definitely satisfy your adventure seeking soul. I can’t express the exact feeling that one has while being in the middle of nowhere because that feeling is amazing that can be felt and not shared.
Where to do: In india there are many places to do paragliding but there are two best places 1. Bir, Kangra (World’s 2nd best site for paragliding) and Kullu-Manali. Being an International site, it is very difficult to find seats in Bir. So, it’s better to do paragliding in Kullu Manali. In Kullu-Manali too there are lots of places where you can go for the fly – 1) Garsa 2)Solang 3)Dobhi Etc.
How Much Does It Cost: It depends on the flight time that means the time period that you wanna spend in the air including the distance covered.
Approximate cost-
Short fly Rs.1500(Avg 5Min)
Long Fly Rs.2500(Avg 15Min)
